Hi  - Your Windows 64 bit shouldn't be an issue for SimCity 2013. I have to admit, random crashes with no message are pretty difficult to troubleshoot. A little more info might help us narrow it down.

Are you playing Multiplayer/online or Single Player/offline? If online, it's possible that your game was affected by the EA server issues the past few days. Anything that affects the servers can corrupt your SimCity gameplay. You can always check the SimCity server status here: http://worlds.simcity.com/

Some basic tips to help SimCity run smoothly:

Firewall and Antivirus - Make sure SimCity.exe and Origin.exe are added to exception lists. If you have BitDefender installed, disable it.
Graphics drivers and OS are patched and updated to newest versions
SimCity.exe and Origin.exe - Set them to run "as administrator"
Nahimic 2 from MSI - this is an audio management program that comes with MSI motherboards. Disable or uninstall it. Nahimic 2 is known to cause this issue.
Disable Origin in-game In Origin main menu, right-click SimCity icon, Game Properties, check the box that says "Disable Origin In-game"
Run in Windows 7 or 8 compatibility mode - right-click SimCity shortcut; choose Properties > Compatibility tab > Check the box to run in Win 7 or 8 compatibility mode

If it keeps happening, reply back with whether you're playing online or offline & attach a dxdiag report:

How to DxDiag

To post your DxDiag:

1. Select the 'Choose file' button below the post box

2. Find the DxDiag file and select it - hit Open

3. Add text to your post and hit Submit

Happy Building!
