Re: SIMCITY not downloading or installing?
Make sure you have the most updated drivers for your video card. Check for drivers here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
Also run Windows Update and make sure you are up to date on patches and fixes for your version. Then follow the steps in my previous post. Report back with any error messages or problems.
Happy Building!

Re: Tutorial Bug: Buy Water from Lucky Shores, No Neighboring Water Providers
Hi
Did you try the suggestion about clicking through the first part quickly? That worked for me when I had the problem. Repairing the game might also help. First, the basics - make sure that you set Origin.exe and SimCity.exe to "Run As Administrator". Make certain both programs are added to your antivirus and firewall exception lists. Then try these steps:
- Close the game; use Alt-F4 if necessary, and make sure you don't have any windows hidden in the background (check the task bar and alt-tab through your open windows)
- Delete the SimCityUserData folder. The default location is Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityUserData (Don't worry about saving it, the game will recreate it on login)
- In Origin, right-click the SimCity icon and click "Repair"
- After the repair completes, open SimCity and restart the tutorial by going into the options menu and clicking "Getting Started"
- Speedily click through the early parts of the tutorial until you reach the "buy water from your neighbor" part; you should be able to buy the water and continue through the tutorial at normal speed. (You shouldn't have to use "panic-click" speed, just don't linger on any particular screen, especially in the "region view" part, until you get through the trouble spot.)
If you absolutely can't get it to work, you can choose to skip the tutorial in the options menu. If you end up doing that, make sure you enable the mini-tutorials. Check the box in Options > Gameplay > Enable Mini-Tutorials. These will give you more in-depth tips along the way.
I hope you're able to get through the tutorial. Happy Building!

Hi
Re: Where to fill out my W2?
I guess you mean 1099 instead. You may find the templates here, as well as the fillable W2 form and W4 and 1099-MISC and you name it. You need to pay for a month subscription in order to fill them out right away, but you can just save them to print

Hi
SimCity: Cities of tomorrow isn't launching on windows 10
After installing and updating it successfully, simcity: cities of tomorrow is not launching on Windows 10.
When I try to launch it, a window appears to play/update the game. As I have already updated it, I click on play and nothing happens...
All of my drivers etc are updated, sfc scan did not show any corrupted files and clean boot did not help too. Apparently, there is not any reason that should cause problem with this game.
I have already wasted my money on GTA IV, having same issue, I don't want it to happen again with this game..
Re: SimCity: Cities of tomorrow isn't launching on windows 10
Hi
Do you have the MSI sound program Nahimic 2 installed? It's an audio management program that comes with some MSI motherboards. If so, disable or uninstall and try again. Nahimic 2 is known to block SimCity from launching.
Re: SimCity: Cities of tomorrow isn't launching on windows 10
I am sorry for the late reply but it didn't work, I left it online for a couple hours but nothing happened, Its still not launching. Now I think I should pirate games instead of buying them because the two "one-of-the-best" game publishers have failed to optimize their game for all PCs and I am done wasting money on them.
Because I live in Pakistan, here earning money is even more difficult every 'imported' or 'international' product is available for more than double price.
Re: SimCity: Cities of tomorrow isn't launching on windows 10
I know it can be frustrating. I don't know about all of EA's games, but in this case, SimCity is an older game with no more development, so as the computers evolve, there are bound to be problems with it. I can successfully run it on Windows 10, so it's not like it's a lost cause or anything, but sometimes it can be a bit tricky for some people. I hope I can help to get you running. There are a lot of little things that can make a difference. Don't be too scared of the list, it looks long, but they're all quick little tweaks.
Always run installation files "As Administrator".
- Firewall and Antivirus - Make sure SimCity.exe and Origin.exe are added to exception lists. If you have BitDefender installed, disable it.
- Graphics drivers and Windows OS are patched and updated to newest versions
- SimCity.exe and Origin.exe - Set them to run "as administrator"
- Nahimic 2 from MSI - this is an audio management program that comes with MSI motherboards. Disable or uninstall it. Nahimic 2 is known to cause this issue.
- Copy Update Files to SimCity folder. Go to Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityUserData\Patches\UpdatedApp Select all files (Ctrl-A) and copy (Ctrl-C). Go to \Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity and paste (Ctrl-V). Choose to overwrite any files that already exist.
- Disable Origin in-game In Origin main menu, right-click SimCity icon, Game Properties, check the box that says "Disable Origin In-game"
- Run in Windows 7 or 8 compatibility mode - right-click SimCity shortcut; choose Properties > Compatibility tab > Check the box to run in Win 7 or 8 compatibility mode
- Disable Proxy if you're using one. If you're not, try using one.
- Monitor Settings - SimCity does not work with dual monitors, so set it to use one only. Also, no higher than 1080p resolution (no 4k)
- No Mods - if you have any installed, uninstall them
If none of these work, try a Clean Boot and attempt to launch SimCity. If it launches, you'll have some detective work to do. Enable one startup program at a time, reboot, try SimCity, until you find the program that is blocking it. Once you find the offending program, disable or uninstall it. You should be able to launch SimCity successfully without doing the clean boot after disabling the offending program.
Definitely post back and let us know whether something worked. If it still won't run, reply back with any error messages you're getting and attach a dxdiag report. How to Dxdiag
